Data protection declaration

The protection of your personal data is very important to us.  Therefore we process your data on the basis of the legal provisions (GDPR, TCA 2003) only. The purpose of this data protection declaration is to inform you about the most important aspects of data processing in the framework of our website.  To protect the teenagers, we do not store IP-addresses to ensure completely anonymous transmission of questions or comments in the entry boxes on the digital platform.  Access is given in the form of groups, e.g. school classes only. The data is not sold, let or passed on to third parties.

Contact with us

If you contact us via email, we store the data you provided for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in case you have any further questions. We will not pass this data on without your permission. The data provided by you is therefore processed on the basis of your consent.  You can withdraw this consent at any point in time.  An informal note by email is sufficient for this purpose. The legality of the data processing carried out until the withdrawal remains unaffected by the withdrawal. Data you transmit via email is stored by us until you ask us to delete it, withdraw your consent to store it or the purpose for storing the data ceases to exist (e.g. processing of your enquiry is completed). Mandatory legal provisions – especially retention periods – remain unaffected.

Cooperation with processors and third parties

If we disclose data to other persons and companies (processors or third parties), transfer data to them or give them access to the data in any other form in the framework of our processing activities, this disclosure happens on the basis of a legal authorisation, if you have given your consent, if it is stipulated on the basis of a legal obligation or on the basis of our legitimate interests (e.g. when we use representatives, web hosting services, cloud services etc.) only.

If we instruct third parties to process data on the basis of a so-called “order processing agreement”, this happens on the basis of Art. 28 GDPR.

Cookies

Our website uses so-called cookies. They are small text files that are stored on your terminal by means of the browser. They do not cause any damage.

We use cookies to make our offering user-friendly. Some cookies are stored on your terminal until you delete them.  They enable us to recognise your browser at your next visit.

If you do not wish cookies to be stored on your terminal, you can configure the settings on your browser in such a way that it will inform you about cookies being placed and that you only allow this on a case-by-case-basis, or if a general objection to the use of cookies used for the purposes of online marketing has been made at various services, in particular in the case of tracking, e.g. via the page http://www.youronlinechoices.com/. The deactivation of cookies may result in a restriction of our website’s functionality.

Web analysis

Our websites uses functions of the web analysis service Google Analytics. Hereby cookies are used to allow an analysis of how the website is used by its users. The information generated in the process is transmitted to the provider’s server and stored there.

You can prevent this by configuring the settings on your browser in such a way that it will not allow cookies to be stored.

We concluded a respective agreement for contract data processing with the provider. Your IP-address is recorded and immediately pseudonymised (via deletion of the last 8 bit). As a result, only rough localisation is possible.

Data processing is carried out on the basis of the legal provisions of § 96 para. 3 TCA as well as article 6 para. 1 lit a (consent) and/or f (legitimate interest) GDPR.

Our concern in the sense of the GDPR (legitimised interest) is to improve our offering and our web presence. As our users’ privacy is important to us, the user data is pseudonymised.

For further information on the use of data by Google, settings and objection options, please see Google’s data protection declaration (https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads) and the settings for the presentation of advertisements by Google https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated.

The user data is stored for the duration of 26 months.

YouTube

Our website uses plugins of the page YouTube which is operated by Google. The operator of the pages is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA.

If you visit one of our pages equipped with a YouTube plugin, a connection to YouTube’s servers is established. In the process, the YouTube server is informed which of our pages you visited.

If you are logged into your YouTube account, you allow YouTube to allocate your surfing habits directly to your personal profile. To prevent this, log out of your YouTube account.

YouTube is used to make the presentation of our online offerings more appealing. This represents a legitimised interest in the sense of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

For further information on handling user data please see YouTube’s data protection declaration at: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy.

Facebook Lead Ads
We use Facebook lead ads/Instagram lead ads on our Facebook and Instagram websites.
We use the “Lead Ads” function from Facebook Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland (“Facebook”) to listen to and receive certain personal data from interested parties – so-called leads – via a contact form on Facebook websites. The content and scope of the data management requested in this form depend on the certain lead campaign.

Based on your freely granted consent to receive the newsletter/personal emails and after confirmation of the double opt-in e-mail by clicking on the button contained therein, your first and last name, your e-mail address will be processed by us for the purposes of sending personalised marketing and product information related to goods and services from erdbeerwoche GmbH/READY FOR RED. The use of the data is strictly bound to the goal of the lead campaign. This goal will be defined in the lead ad or contact form (before the data will be transmitted).

Subscription via the form is only effective if you activate the subscription by “clicking” on the confirmation link in the confirmation e-mail that you receive. At the time of subscription, only your personal data recorded with Facebook/Instagram or entered voluntarily by you, such as your e-mail address and name in all cases, are required in the form. We use the personal data provided exclusively to send to you via e-mail our newsletter/personal emails as described above, provided that you have explicitly provided consent. You may revoke your consent to receive the newsletter at any time with effect for the future without specifying the reasons.

The data will not be passed on to third parties. Further information on data processing via Facebook Lead Ads can be found in Facebook’s data policy at https://www.facebook.com/privacy/explanation.

Your rights

You have the right to information, rectification, deletion, restriction, data portability, objection, and the right to withdraw. If you believe that the processing of your data constitutes a breach of data protection legislation or that your entitlements under data protection legislation have been breached in any other way, you can make a complaint to the regulatory authority. In Austria the regulatory body is the data protection authority.

If you wish to exercise one of the above-mentioned rights, please send an email to: datenschutz@erdbeerwoche.com.

In order to preclude breaches of data protection such as e.g. transmission of personal data to a wrong person, we kindly ask you to send us a copy/scan of your identity card/passport together with your request for the purpose of identification.
